The No Cruel Cosmetics campaign reaches Skopje

Even among those European countries not yet members of the European Union, , there is strong support  for the ECEAE campaign to maintain the cosmetics marketing ban in 2013. The animal protection group, Anima Mundi, took to the streets of Skopje, Macedonia and collected numerous signatures urging the EU to stand firm on the marketing ban for cruel cosmetics next year.

The group received lots of support, with over 200 people signing the petition and taking information leaflets as well as interviews with the local media.

Natasa Knezevic of Anima Mundi said “It was great to see the people of Skopje showing support for this important campaign.  Our message is clear, we don’t want animals to suffer for cosmetics, and we hope the European Commission will listen to the people of Macedonia who are calling for the ban to come in as planned.”
